Performance The sky knows gunpowder/ El cielo sabe de pólvoras

Osorno, Chile. 22 December 2016. The artist holds in his hands a photograph of Osvaldo Burgos Lavoz arrested and disappeared in September of 1973. The visual artist Mapuche - Huilliche Francisco Vargas Huaiquimilla developed a perfomance titled: The sky knows gunpowder as a symbolic protest against the Mass of forgiveness that will be held today in the Punta Peuco prison where criminals are held convicted of violations of Human Rights during the military dictatorship led by Augusto Pinochet in Osorno, Chile.
